If you’re wondering why I jumped from untitled III to untitled XX it’s because this is article number 20 on the blog since it first started. 20 articles, 500–600 words per article, that’s roughly 10,000 words arranged with love for people who matter.

Looking back at all the stories I wrote before I felt like I didn’t lose track of my progress as a human being over the past 3 years. It’s like I kept making checkpoints along the way in case of war.

Speaking of which, in today’s story we are going to talk about war. The cliché one. The war that you go through against yourself and for yourself. It sounds cringe yes. But I sincerely started to feel like we gave up on trying to do anything. We gave up on trying to stop illegal immigration. We gave up on trying to stop inflation that’s binge-eating our money. We gave up on politics big fucking time. It’s like we live in “In Time” movie where 95% of the population lives in the surrounding districts of the capital that hold the last 5% containing the rich families across history and people who got to finger the state for the slut it is. It also feels like the two guys on a bus meme down below.

We all turned out to be quitters. we quit going to war against the government and the poor life to join battles against each other.
We people engage in bad behavior and tend to be emotional. We can no longer live together as a society and we all want to leave. Legally, Illegally. Nobody gives a fuck.

Inflation is a bitch and the same cornflakes packet you bought last week is 200 millimes more expensive today and it’s probably going to double the price by the end of the month. The same pack of cigarettes that used to cost 5.4 TND in 2019, today costs 10 TND. We found out that fear and greed are the best way to fight back in the short run. It’s survival of the fittest. It’s not all bad though, I find it interesting to watch as someone who is eventually going to just fuck all and leave.

I’m genuinely confused. we have no clue where any of this going due to the political fucked-up climate inside and outside. Do I see hope in this country? no. Am I attempting to leave? yes. Tunisia is now a place to visit on annual leave. It is still valid for our parents and younger brothers. if your age is between 20 and 30 years, your youth energy is building momentum to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle during the next decade of your age. You certainly cannot do that here. Real talk, it’s the Gulag around here. Our Gulag is just pink and pretty.

The only way to survive is to have a support system. Friends and family are people who give you the opportunity of being heard. Try to engage with them as much as possible. Get a pet. Hit the gym. Write down some thoughts, you don’t have to do it publically. This routine will help you limit your mood swings at the very least. That’s how I’m coping at least and it’s working.

Until the next untitled comes up. Look for the good war to join and be a quitter, quit the right stuff at the right time. And of course, remember the magic words: Please, Thank you, and Step off bitch!
